Ha haaaa! I get to make the first post, well, first after Zoe.
What did you expect from a geek?
Had an interesting journey back - 15 minutes into the trip my mobile went off with Rachel sounding quite worried - she couldn't find her bag with her keys and purse, etc. Turns out a certain someone who was sharing a lift with me thought it was my bag and slung it on the backseat.

We got to see Southport again a lot sooner than we expected.

Thank you so much to David for an amazing course, so generous with your time and information - I should think it takes a few days to recover. It's going to take me a few days to go through the course notes and work out what to do next although I'll certainly be incorporating some stuff into Saturday's wedding.
Thanks also to Zoe, Rob and Ellie for making us so welcome in their home and workplace, good luck with your future in fashion photography, we'll keep an eye out for you on Britain's Next Top Model!

Well I finally managed to get home after a few comical detours involving single track roads and going the wrong way up the M6!! I have now demanded a sat-nav for my birthday! lol
I had a great time and met some great people! I just want to Thank Zoe and David soooo much!!
I have loads to think about now and when i got home i had a big wedding sprung on me for tomorrow! argh!! ah well will be able to put some of these idea's to the test!

OK, so not the DWF, this is the DAW or AAS (or maybe ASS...Almost Stuck in Southport?!). As Chris rightly recorded, I had a major panic when I discovered my bag was gone. I was so badly shaken, that I had to stop off and buy a load of chocolate to calm my nerves!

The seminar/workshop was amazing. My sister is getting married tomorrow (and no, I am not the photographer - my Rule No. 23, NEVER work for relatives and friends) but I am going to sneak in a camera and do a load of detail shots when the photographer isn't looking! What's the female version of Uncle Bob...?!

It was fantastic to meet you all, and it was so good to get so many different perspectives on the industry and what's happening, what's working, what's not, where it's all going... roll on the redundancy! As well as thanking David and Zoe, I'd also like to thank YOU, for making the workshop such an unforgettable and inspiring 3 days.

Hi All !

Well..it was the most fantastic 3 days. It was amazing, truly amazing... I've felt like this yellow thingy sinceI came home. Enjoyed it so much, made so many new friends and had so much fun.. My thanks to David Williams for sharing his endless knowledge with us, special thanks to Zoe for the most wonderful hospitality and to all the members of the group for making it a most memorable event.

I don't think anybody has been able to hold my attention for that long, ever in my whole life... Not once did I glaze over with the dreaded 'technical', scary bits. David says it like it is and that's what I enjoyed most about the 3 days. No crap, no patronising, no 'lording it over' us mere mortals... Just straight talking and not afraid to give away any of his secrets!!!!!!

I am off to Majorca tonight with some friends (3 nights of just the girls - bliss) - however my brain is about to explode with work I have to catch up on when I return.

You were all great company and I hope we can all keep in touch and share our experiences, knowledge, ideas etc, etc, etc... I will probably drive you all potty in the days to come to pick your brains (if you have any left!!)...

Hello all!

Just wanted to add my 2p and say another big thank you to David and Zoe for an amazing 3 days. I have so many things buzzing inside my head and am trying to keep as much of it straight for my wedding today!

The weather is looking decidedly dodgy and getting worse for the weekend (I have another couple of weddings Friday/Saturday) and although I am panicing about photographing the groups possibly indoors for the first time ever at least I know how to do it - thanks to David! Still not very confident though and wish I had someone to hold my second flash on monopod!
